My name is Msc. Wolfgang Gessl. I was born in 1981 in Graz (Austria),
I am married and have 2 children.
In 2012 I finished my study of zoology at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz. The titel of my master thesis is „Modelling the factors that influence the invasion success of the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in Austria.
Since 2007 I am working as the animal caretaker at the Institut of Zoology at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz. I also contribute to lectures and seminars involving morphology or the local fauna.
In 2009 I participated in a fish ecological expedition to Lake Tanganyika (Zambia).
Outside of the university I hold courses for the “Naturpark Akademie Steiermark” and additionally do free-lance work for various environmental consultants.
